PRESSURE TO FEEL FINE

A Music Exhibit in a Year with Long COVID

Description: I love music and Long COVID does not, as it has been wrecking my voice/sinus/throat/lungs. It took 6+ months to find the right cocktail of steroids, sprays, and inhalers, and months of daily lung therapy to neurologically correct my breath.

The following is a collection of cover songs from the last year made from my bed on my keyboard, tablet, and phone.
On songs recorded during bad days you’ll hear a lot of reverb, layered vocals, echoing drum tracks, and jarring cuts to remove gasps for air. You’ll hear my voice age what seems like 10+ years. You’ll see me transition from keyboard which usually hurts too much to play, to building full bands out in Garageband which was easier to manage from bed.

Notes: Recommend to watch on phone or tablet. Songs are chronologically random. Audio doesn’t always sync, and volume levels vary. Not all videos include on-screen captioning and not all captions are screen-reader friendly.
